ANALYZE THE LEVEL OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN THE UTILIZATION OF CUSTOMARY FOREST LAND IN HATAWANO VILLAGE

This study aims to analyze the level of community participation in the utilization of customary forest land in Hatawano Village. Customary forest land is an essential natural resource for the sustainability of local communities; however, active participation in its management remains an issue that requires attention. The research method used is a survey with a quantitative approach to measure the level of community participation in the utilization of customary forest land. The results indicate that although the community has sufficient knowledge regarding the importance of managing customary forests, their participation in management is still low. Factors influencing participation include limited resources, lack of training, and the influence of local government policies. This study is expected to provide insights into improving community participation in customary forest management to support ecological sustainability and community welfare.
